The Physical Plant is a huge department, so it requires it's own accounting department. Physical Plant accounting has a full-time staff of four plus one student employee. The multi-level department's complex, multi-million dollar budget is maintained by these five people. With a department this size, there is a considerable expenditure necessary for keeping the department supplied, but the department also has to bill other campus departments for some services rendered, so our accounting department deals with both incoming and outgoing funds for many accounts.
